The exceptional vintage 2012 was the result of a perfect warm and balmy growing season without heat spikes, cold spells or rains after bud break. The big fruity flavors of dark cherry and blackberry have company by spicy nutmeg and laurel as well as notes of licorice, and a hint of coffee.The tannins have started to soften but are present to allow continued evolution of this wine which is already a classic at release.
