Extended Description:
November 3, 2023 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Join us for an exclusive owner-hosted tasting of selected early vintage Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve paired with appetizers.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the foundation of Bordeaux wines known for their aging potential of 30-40 years or more. Owner Bengt Akerlind will pour from vintages 2004, 2005, 2006, and our current release 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. Our Cabernet vineyard is located on the west side of Dry Creek Valley 300 feet above the valley floor. South and West-facing exposure, rocky soils, and morning fog produces fruit with structure and depth of flavor.
In this experience, you’ll learn about the attributes of and taste youthful cabernet and then experience the rich aromas and flavors that have developed in the earlier vintages. Of special note, you’ll taste the 2005 vintage which was selected as the feature wine at the 2010 Nobel Prize Banquet in Stockholm! Seating for this event will be extremely limited.
