Extended Description:
In our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, you'll find slender cherry aromas which continue on the palate accompanied by plum, licorice, laurel, and cedar. You will also experience spices like cloves, coriander and a hint of coffee. The 2014 weather started with a harsh winter and cool spring, but warmed up over summer and the fall was dry and warm. We had great flavors early in October and picked the fruit at slightly lower Brix levels, creating a Cabernet at 13.0% alcohol and a wealth of refined flavors. We aged the wine in French oak barrels for 27 months and bottle aged for 4 years.
The grapes are grown on our hillside property 300 feet above the valley floor in Dry Creek Valley.
