Extended Description:
2018 West Wines Cabernmet Sauvignon is a structured and complex wine with black currant and
cherry aromas and hints of cloves, cedar, and licorice. The flavors on the palate start with cherry, ripe
plum and continue with cloves, nutty spices, coffee and a hint of licorice. This vintage has lovely
complex flavors typical of our Cabernet Sauvignon and will continue to age beautifully for decades.
There was plenty of rain during the winter month and the long growing season had moderate
temperatures. The wine was aged for 30 months in French oak barrels and then 4 years of bottle aging before being released.
The grapes grows in our upper vineyard high above teh Dry Creek Valley floor and the fruit is manually harvested like all our grapes.
